DingusFamily
Privacy Policy
Effective September 14, 2026
This policy explains how DingusFamily, a private calendar assistant operated for a single family, accesses and uses Google user data. DingusFamily is not offered as a public or commercial service.
Google data DingusFamily accesses
With a user’s explicit authorization, DingusFamily may access:
- Google Calendar data needed to view calendars and create, update, or remove family and event calendar entries.
- Gmail messages needed to identify family-calendar and school-event announcements, changes, rescheduling, or cancellations.
How data is used
Google user data is used only to provide requested family-assistant features: maintaining calendars, recording important dates, reviewing relevant event notices, and applying supported event changes. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any unrelated purpose.
Storage and protection
Authentication credentials and working data are stored on a family-controlled computer. Access to DingusFamily is restricted to specifically authorized family members. Reasonable technical safeguards are used to prevent unauthorized access.
Sharing and disclosure
DingusFamily does not sell Google user data. Google user data is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. Information may be surfaced only to authorized family members as needed to provide the assistant’s requested features, or when disclosure is required by law.
Retention and deletion
Data is retained only as long as needed for the family-assistant functions described above. A user may revoke Google access at any time through their Google Account permissions. To request deletion of locally retained Google-derived data or credentials, contact the email address below.
Limited Use

This policy may be updated when DingusFamily’s functionality or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
